We Have a New Team Member!

Alex Brand joined the VSI team recently as our new Workforce Development Operations Manager. Alex brings many years of experience in the remodeling and new construction industry and is also a VSI Certified Installer.

A graduate of Ferris State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Alex founded and operated his own construction consulting company (Brand New Construction Consulting), which he successfully ran for over three years. In this role, he assisted clients in maximizing sales to install and paid process, increasing revenue and building relationships in the skilled trades space in residential, new construction and commercial markets.

Earlier in his career, Alex spent five years in the residential construction industry as an Intern, Warehouse Manager, Recruiter, Management Trainee and Operations Manager. Among his many roles, Alex is most proud of leading teams that managed windows, doors, vinyl siding and garage door production, supply chain and fulfillment. Alex is also OSI-certified.

Among other interests, Alex is a member of the Artist-Blacksmith’s Association of North America (ABANA), keeping the art of blacksmithing alive.
