New Grant Helps Expand Local Recycling Networks and Recover More Post-Consumer Vinyl
The Revinylize Recycling Collaborative, founded by the Polymeric Exterior Products Association (PEPA) has experienced tremendous growth since launching in Northeast Ohio in 2024. In 2025 alone, the collaborative helped recycle more than 30 million pounds of post-consumer rigid vinyl. Now, thanks to a grant from the VIABILITY Grant Program, sponsored by the Vinyl Institute's Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC), Revinylize is entering its next phase – strengthening the local recycling networks already operating in Revinylize communities.
Help Us Recycle 300 Million Pounds Annually
PEPA estimates that 300 million pounds of post-consumer vinyl siding is available for recycling – annually – in North America. While Revinylize has made significant progress, only a small portion of that material is being recovered.
The new grassroots initiative is designed to change that by connecting more contractors, municipalities, distributors, recyclers and community organizations to the existing Revinylize network.

What’s In It for Contractors?
Every remodeling project presents an opportunity to keep valuable materials out of landfills—and joining Revinylize is free.
When you become a Revinylize partner, it’s simple. A branded collection bin is placed right on your jobsite, and your crew places removed vinyl siding in the bin. That’s it. No extra trips to the landfill, no added disposal headaches and no wasted time or associated fuel costs.
And the benefits go beyond convenience. By recycling post-consumer rigid vinyl, contractors can show customers that their company is committed to responsible building practices.
It's also a chance to become part of a growing network of contractors, recyclers, distributors and community partners working together to expand vinyl recycling and build a stronger circular economy.
