Heroes MAKE America for Manufacturers
The Manufacturing Institute's “Heroes MAKE America” veterans program aims to build connections between the military community and the manufacturing industry. This signature program is an accelerated training program to prepare transitioning service members, veterans, National Guard, reservists and military spouses for rewarding careers in manufacturing.
The Vinyl Siding Institute (VSI) wants to bridge and introduce VSI members to this valuable program.
We recently partnered with Heroes MAKE America to offer VSI members an exclusive program orientation. These individual company events will include a virtual information session detailing the opportunities to build connections between the greater military community and manufacturers like you who are currently hiring.
Here are the orientation details:
- An overview of the Heroes MAKE America initiative
- An understanding of the training and certification curriculum
- The best ways to get involved
- How to connect with the incredibly diverse talent pool of veterans and military spouses
- Resources to help prepare your company to recruit, hire and retain this talent
- Tips on attending, such as:
- Prepare to be on camera – they use Zoom, so company representatives and Heroes team members can engage face-to-face
- Share – they invite anyone from your company who is interested in learning about Heroes MAKE America to participate
