New Recycling Zone Added to Revinylize as 2025 Goal Approaches

By Matt Dobson, Senior Vice President, PEPA

Over the past year, Verified Recyclers and Verified Collection Sites have played a vital role in expanding PEPA’s Revinylize Recycling Collaborative into new regions, including Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Tennessee. Now, as we continue to grow and make rigid vinyl recycling more accessible nationwide, we are excited to introduce our latest initiative: Recycling Zones.

Our first Recycling Zone is now established in Northeast St. Louis, MO, supported by PEPA member company, CertainTeed. This new zone provides builders, developers, C&D landfills and other stakeholders with a dedicated network for post-consumer rigid vinyl recycling. Through CertainTeed’s leadership, participants in this area will receive clear guidance on where to bring post-consumer rigid vinyl, leveraging the company's existing infrastructure and resources.

The goal of our Recycling Zones is to create strong regional networks for recycling, with each zone led by a designated Zone Leader who will oversee operations and communication within their designated area.

As Revinylize continues to expand, we anticipate the launch of additional Recycling Zones to help us achieve our target: recycling 5 million pounds of post-consumer rigid vinyl in 2025.

Stay tuned for more updates as we work together to make post-consumer rigid vinyl recycling the industry standard!
