Talking Shop and Educating Professionals at IBS!

In late January/early February, our Workforce Development team traveled to the International Builders Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, NV, to meet with VSI members, builders, contractors, installers, educators, distributors, specifiers and other industry professionals to talk shop regarding the industry and the work we are doing together in 2023.

Also, at the International Builders Show (IBS), Coach Rob met with current students and VSI Certified Installers from the Penn College 2023 NAHB Student Competition Team: Small/Custom Home Build Proposal.

We Met Plumber Paige – And You Should, Too!

In February, we had the opportunity to present at the PACTA Annual Career Readiness Symposium and sit and talk with Author, Speaker, Entrepreneur, Trades Advocate – and all around cool human being – Plumber Paige Knowles. If you have a chance, please follow her work, have her come and speak to your class and get her books into grade/elementary schools near you! We need to talk about the skilled trades early and often! Plumber Paige is super passionate about the trades, about serving others and wants to help close the gap. Thank you, Paige, for all that you are doing for the industry.

VSI to Present at the IRE in Texas This Month!

This Month (March), the Workforce Development team will attend and present at the International Roofing Expo (IRE) in Dallas, TX, from March 7-9, at Booth #9517. Coach Rob will also be providing two, one-hour educational sessions on the show floor in the Exteriors Pavilion. The Basics of Vinyl Siding Installation and Specialty Tools of the Trade.
