VSI Product
Certification Program

The Polymeric Exterior Products Association (PEPA) owns the VSI Product Certification Program; the Program is an independent third-party certification program with multiple ISO/IEC 17065 accredited certification bodies in place.

The Program provides two reporting pathways: a Product Certification Listing (PCL) or a Product Evaluation Report (PER). In addition to applicable ASTM product standards, the Program recognizes related performance and code-based standards, including ASTM E84, ASTM E119, NFPA 268, and the National Building Code of Canada (NBC).

Published Product Certification Listings (PCLs) and Product Evaluation Reports (PERs) are available through Intertek and ICC-ES.

Products listed in the directory have demonstrated compliance with the applicable ASTM standard for their product category:

ASTM D3679, Standard Specification for Rigid Poly(Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Siding, applies to vinyl siding.

ASTM D7793, Standard Specification for Insulated Vinyl Siding, applies to insulated vinyl siding.

ASTM D7254, Standard Specification for Polypropylene (PP) Siding, applies to polypropylene siding.

ASTM D7445, Standard Specification for Rigid Poly(Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Siding with Foam Plastic Backing (Backed Vinyl Siding), applies to backed vinyl siding.

ASTM International standards are developed through a consensus process involving technical experts from industry, government, academia, consumer groups, and other stakeholder communities. For more information about ASTM International, visit www.astm.org.
