Dear Colleagues,

This is the part of the holiday season where we traditionally take a moment to reflect on the past, recognize where we are and look forward to the future.

I'd like to also take a moment to express my gratitude for you and your crucial role in helping our industry accomplish a vital mission each and every day. Each day, we take the field together, and we change lives for the better. None of that could happen without you. You exemplify quality, craftsmanship and servant leadership of personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in the core framework of our programs.

“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.” - Unknown

There are so many things we can still do together, with the right mindset and attitude:

  1. Keep moving forward, even if in small steps.
  2. Be confident in everything you do.
  3. Find your voice and speak up when it's appropriate.
  4. Have people around whom you love and who love you back.
  5. Dream BIG!

Your state of mind, your belief in yourself and your passion for your values mean everything!

As I look back on 2022, I’m reminded of the challenges that we have been through together, the successes we have had along the way and all of the hard work that you have completed for our industry. I appreciate you for every customer you have delighted, every project you have completed and everything you have done for your families. I am proud to work alongside you and have you as a part of our team. Your professionalism, expertise and willingness to go the extra mile are widely recognized, and for that, we thank you.

There's never been a better time to be skilled!

I look forward to what lies ahead in 2023, and I am excited to keep working with you together, toward our continued success. On behalf of VSI and our members, thank you again for your ongoing commitment and support to this great industry. May this holiday season and the New Year bring you and your families joy and happiness.

Happy holidays!
